I say go for Warrior. They have a LOT more utility apart from just spamming SY! whereas Rangers..well, they have utility too..but Rangers I find to be meh. In fact I recently deleted my Ranger/Storage Mule to create my survivor Warrior and I'm having a blast!

well thats what im considering lol I just got LS on my paragon and now he's just... meh rofl. Every build i've been looking at for a ranger has been based around interupt/pets/barrage and thats not what I want to do lol want to be able to sustain dmg while squishing them damn monsters!

Despite what plenty of Wammos will tell you, Ranger is generally a easier to use profession. You have good damage sources, expertise for superior energy management, the 2nd highest armor in the game, interrupts, easily spread conditions including daze, long range and an excellent view of the battle.
While Warriors can certainly be a lot of fun to play, (don't get me wrong... for a long time my main was a warrior) after playing through everything with just about every profession, I'd have to say that Rangers are one of the most powerful profs in the game. As a warrior I had to run my own monks to make sure I had plenty of hex and condition removal, as it really is easy to shut a warrior down with speed debuffs and blinding. No hitting = no spamming adrenal skills like SY.
Spamming "Save yourselves!" defintely helps out a party... I think its better used on a paragon/warrior which uses party buffs much better. Also remember that when you use it, most of the mob comes after you, as it doesn't buff your armor and mobs target (in general) the character with lowest health/armor.

There's more in this thread, although it's mainly about the paragon builds, there are a few other SY Spammers in there, down near the bottom.
The main difference between the ranger and the warrior is probably damage. I doubt the Ranger Build would be able to keep up with a D-Slash Spammer in terms of damage, but with Infuriating Heat they'd certainly be able to keep up with the SY spamming.

Rangers actually have a lot more types of builds if you get creative with Expertise. To me, Warriors are more for people who want to be the absolute best damage dealers when using a sword/axe/hammer (although they can use spears and scythes pretty well with the right skills). Rangers, on the other hand, excel with bows and can use any other physical weapon very well, so you can change up your playstyle more often when you get bored of using a bow/spear/dagger/sword/axe/hammer/scythe.
